Mr Yow is a double-board accredited Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon with the United Kingdom General Medical Council (UK GMC) and the Malaysian National Specialist Register(NSR). In the UK, he had one of the best independently-audited outcomes for his major Vascular operations on the UK National Vascular Registry. He continues his practice of excellent surgical results in Malaysia with minor and major Vascular operations, including ground-breaking procedures such as Malaysia’s first hybrid revision arm bypass.

Having received multiple Awards and Prizes in Medical School, he has carried this academic inclination into his later career. Mr Yow has presented internationally and published widely as an academic Vascular Surgeon in numerous high-impact journals such as the British Journal of Surgery. He uses these critical appraisal skills in ensuring patients receive the most modern, best evidence-based treatments in Vascular Surgery.

Mr Yow specialises in carotid surgery for stroke prevention, aortic aneurysm interventions, saving legs from amputation, treatment of all leg ulcers and gangrene, varicose veins, renal dialysis access surgery, Vascular trauma, Vascular infections and revision Vascular Surgery.

He does this by using a combination of open Vascular Surgery and minimally-invasive endovascular techniques such as angioplasty and stents. This is all based on the most up-to-date high-quality research evidence to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.

Mr Yow believes in the utmost integrity in managing his patients. This means patients will receive advice that is evidence-based, practical and beneficial. Only investigations that are necessary for the successful treatment of the patient will be requested. Any proposed interventions will be in full consultation with the patient with all risks and benefits discussed to allow the patient to make a truly informed decision on what is best for them.

    I found dr. Yow through Google and read all the reviews. I met him on Tuesday 13 Aug for my dad 78yo who has walking problems. My dad complaining his left leg is pain and sometimes numb in the middle of the night.
    He is patiently listen to my dad and try to explain in simple and brief so he can understand.
    He done CT scan and thank God the result is not bad so he doesn’t need any procedural.
    My personal opinion re: Dr. Yow, he is patient with elderly, and only do procedure if needed.
